Back to 49997
I have several thousand posts that are just warning about cross-posting or whatever. It's tempting to delete them as they don't really count.
I just deleted 5 pages from the "Spammer Report" thread so I'm not the only one who's post count just went backwards |

Slightly premature, but you've made the front page Cliff .
Thanks for the PM with the post details. I'm scrounging up your gift, and should be able to send it off next week or so. Please don't hit any more milestones in the meantime.

Cliff joined 'freaks in july 2005.
He reached 10 K in September 2007, so that was a bit more than two years for 10K.
About 4 1/2 years later he reaches 50K.
That darned Cliff is just not linear, but curved! (Happens to all of us as we get older...) |

I can only type about 45-50 wpm so there will be an ultimate limit to this thing!

Oh wow - but I wonder exactly how sad an anorak am I that I posted a link to that on Facebook to my friends/family.
BTW I'm having a great time playing "GroundHog Day". I've passed 500000 three times and even got to 50003 but now back to 49988 (there are a lot of hits for "cross post moderator", author=clawson!) |

I noticed that effect the other day - if you have the search set to all posts it hits ~50,000 and shows no result. If you have it set to all threads it's something like 24,500 results and they are listed. My speculation was that there is some kind of 32768 limit going on there.
Oh and by the way this IS post 50,000
What's wrong with this picture?
[Edit I missed there was another page to the thread... I'll leave the pic up for posterity ] |

If I really do delete ALL my "moderation posts" I reckon I could get this back to about 48,000 easily
In fact I could play the game of seeing exactly how many times I can pass 50,000 again and again and post a picture each time - but maybe not... |

No, this is something different, something unique. Definitely doesn't have a SKU on the Atmel store.

now the big question... will Cliff break the forum software in about 15516 posts? [his count is 50020 as I write this] -- probably not, evidence seems to indicate a 24 bit count.
Part B... how long will it take Cliff to get there?
Congrats on being the first to another milestone Cliff! [I wanted to wait until I actually saw your number over ] |

I'm getting there - I was actually waiting for a bit of sun as the photos would look better (IMHO!) Perhaps I will just hide behind the framed "item" anyway |
