Anyone know witch is the next AVR 32 processor to be released. I have heard that there are a new member of the AVR32 family to be released in the 14. week.
Anyone know if this is one of AP 7001 - 7004 or is it a completly new one? |

I think it's called uc3000, it's an AVR32, with cpu power between an arm9 and arm11, and the pricing will be between an arm7 and arm9.
It was introduced at EmbeddedWorld2007 i Germany.

The datasheets for 7001/7002 are on the Atmel website now so I'm imagining the chippies themselves should be on shelves soon.

What was released in Nuremberg was the slightly reduced AVR32 architecture that comprises the UC3 series: the pipeline is shorter and the MMU is turned into an MPU. There are DSP extensions and onboard flash and...
It is called UC3 to reflect the 3-stage version of the pipeline, and that it is a mUcroController...more than an Application Processor, anyway. Yes, there is USB and the usual serial interfaces. It will be a hell of a product.
Watch this site, www.Atmel.com/AVR32 and www.AVRTV.com - soon to be launched!

And my local Atmel marketing guru mentioned a soon-to-be-released AP72xx series with USB OTG. Truth?
