I am new to AVR programming and I am using AVRStudio 6, an AVRDragon as ISP, and a ATMEGA32 AVR. When I hook up the computer to the AVRDragon with the AVR installed in a Ziff Connector in the Dragon, and enter "program device" to program the fuses, set the s the "tool" to "AVRDragon" and the device is set to ATMEGA32.
I then try to read the voltage, the AVR Studio6 tells me that the voltage is 2.1 volts, I presume at the VCC pin, and that is outside the 2.7v -> 5.5v acceptable range for programming. This error allows me to go no further.
I've tried both a direct USB connection to the Dragon and a connection through a powered USB hub with the same results. I've also tried 2 separate, virgin ATMEGA32's with the same results. And I have reversed both AVRs in the Ziff to check for chip orientation error. (Same results)
Can anyone help me understand and get by this problem?? |
