Hey again! I am curious I know the arduino boards have pins pulled out to a connection for RX and TX but I am unsure do all Atmegas have this capability on pins and if not what is the smallest chip that has this capability.

You can easily pull out any pins from any Atmega. Just get some narrow nose pliers and pull firmly.

I'm not sure if all megas have a UART, but certainly the vast majority do.

What is your definition of "small"? Lowest pin count? Smallest physical size? Smallest amount of flash?

Thanks for the answer didnt know it was just UART I didnt really have a definition of size in mind when i wrote it but i dont want to buy a ATmega2560 when I can get away with using something like a ATmega8 (not necessarily the ones i have in mind).
