This morning none of the threads read change state even if the "mark all topics read" is used.

This morning is relative and it hasn't happened here yet, but this morning I realized that too. What the heck did I just say? Wink

I came from the future.... Confused Remember 88MPH??

It seems to be back to normal now but now we are back to avrfreask.net instead of 8515.net or whatever it was.

Is this new for you then? I see this roughly once a week when using FireFox (but curiously not if I use IE). If you just go into cookie management and delete all the cookies that relate to avrfreaks.net you should find that normality is restored (you'll have to log in again).

Normality was restored without doing anything. Smile

But every thread was showing the 8515 rather than avrfreak link under the mouse so it must have been shunted elsewhere.

Bah! You should be greatful that the site is still up at all.

Rant time:

I was doing the morning scan of new stuff here. Having just gotten started I had to pop off for half an hour. Left the computer running and the browser open. Didn't think enough and shut the lid.

Coming back I apparently had lost the session (even though I checked the 3G connection a second after opening the lid and it was still connected). So now all info on new posts over the night is lost.

I can live with my footer/sig not working. I can live with having a broken PM count. I can live with the notify function being flakey. It's embarrasing for the site admins that "Hacking Attempt 1" is still there, but it is not hampering use of this site. The percent thingie is cumbersome, but I understand the necessity of it and/or the possible complexity of fixing it while maintaining site security. I can live with most other limps here at 'freaks.

What sucks, big time, is the totally FUBAR marking of posts read. Yes, this is my #1 nag about AVRfreaks, but that is because it deserves the nagging. It sucks. It sucks. Oh,... Did I say it sucks?! Maybe not.. Just to make sure: It sucks!

Nope, you know very well that my #2 nag is, in its short form, "The quality of the answers one gets is highly correlated with the quality of the question one asks".

And my #3 gets triggered whenever someone makes un-supported claims over a the in-efficiency of a certain programming language..
