Start parallel on one side and serial at the other ?

ouroboros. Had to Google that one Chuck! At first I thought is was a play on the words <aurora borealis>

Well, I had to laugh at myself once for making the same mistake in the tangle of wires and cables behind the desk. I'd plugged the UPS into the power strip powered by the ups. Couldn't figure out why the silly thing was beeping.

When I was little, Mom had me completely terrified of outlets. I mean, to the point where I didn't even go near that side of the room. I finally realized, "if they are so dangerous that just being near them was harmful, they probably wouldn't put them in little boys' rooms."
