Hello
Does someone knows where could I found a high quality RZRAVEN Hardware User's Guide pdf?
The one I downloaded from atmel is poor and i can not read some important words from it.
Consider the figure:
Figure 3-3 AVRRAVEN User Interfaces
Consider now the
Table 3-3. ATmega1284P User IO
Which one is the J202-5, J202-6, J202-8 ???
Figure 3-3 is poor and there is 3 elements: J201, J202, J203.
Is the 201 the left one? Or the right one?
How sad...
Thank you
Deez Pa |

Indeed, the picture looks blurry, but a very nice guy, sitting close to me, had a good quality drawing

I can't even find that download. Looked under "Produts", "Wireless MCU", "Tools", "AVR Raven", and then the "Documents" tab. No "Hardware users guide". Do you have a link to where you are downloading it from? |

On the AVR Technical Library CD, issue September 2008 it is
still there (mostly this CD is included in the Raven Boxes), otherwise there are some copies in the net, if you look for AVR2016. Not shure if this violates any policy, if I post one here. |

Ops, yes, I get the file from product CD (I thought that i downloaded it from web site)
Thank you uracolix. That schematic is perfect!
By the way, just another question(s) please, on connecting a led and external power:
To feed 3290P, should I connect:
external power ground to PIN 12
external power Vcc to PIN 7
or
external power ground to PIN 2
external power Vcc to PIN 1
(I am confused with the labels of Table 3-1. Interfaces available on J401)
Also, when the 3290 is feed the 1284 is also feed or i have to feed it also in separatly?
To add a LED to 3290:
Longer leg to pin 8 and short leg to pin 12, right?
The manual says that it already has on-board 470Ω series resistors and 10kΩ pull-ups. Should I provide also an external 330 Ohm resistor?
Thank you very much
Deez Pa
PS: Sorry, no electronics base skills |

| Well, the OP reported that he downloaded it from Atmels site so I wa curious as to if there was any alternative sources that I didn't know of. Or if the new'ish Atmel site design was hiding it for me. |

>To feed 3290P, should I connect:
I looked into the above cited CD-ROM, there is a package
AVR2016.zip, it contains the schematics and the above
posted drawing as well. With the schematics in front
your questions turns out to:
- PIN1 is 3-15V (in), PIN2 is 0V (in) a.k.a Ground
- PIN12 is board ground, PIN7 is regulated VCC (out)
The pins 1 and 2 feed the whole board, seperately feeding
the 3290 will be not possible per default.
