Hi,

I'm trying to test a new board, with the SAM3S2C processor. Using Atmel Studio 6 and SAM-ICE debugger for the job.

The problem is, when trying to connect to the board, I get an error message saying, the chip's identifier is faulty, and it refuses to proceed. I checked the identifier, that was read back from the board, and according to the datasheet it is correct.

Can anyone help how to proceed? I pasted the error message from the console to below;

"14:02:56: [ERROR] Unexpected Chip Identifier 0x28aa0760 (expected 0x28aa0730)., ModuleName: TCF (TCF command: Device:startSession failed.)"

Is this ASF specific? If not we will move the thread to the Studio 6 forum.

Known issue in the beta, it has been corrected for the final release (due very soon). For now you can manually edit the chip signature in the device XML file (C:\Program Files\Atmel\Atmel Studio 6.0\devices\ATSAM3S2C.xml) so that it has the correct signature.
