I've worked a lot with Windows, PlayStation and Windows Mobile development. I also use VMware Workstation extensively. For my day job, I manage a team that makes development tools. This is my first stab at embedded development.
I'm very disappointed that the AVR simulator doesn't support connecting the USART to a virtual serial port on my host computer or at least a simple console window.
Also, the IO view should update regardless of whether the simulator is stopped.
What I didn't expect but would be great would be the ability to simulate a connection between the USB hardware and a virtual USB port on my host computer. |
