i m trying to read accelerometer adxl335 analog signals
with atmega168 microcontroller
and after the microcontroller i want to send these low frequency signals(0-700hz) wirelessly to the reciever section at 5km distance from the transmitter.
i have 10 adxl335 each connected to a 10 indivdual microcontrollers and i want to connect a transmitter to each microcontroller so that my signal gets transmitted.
now i want one reciever module which accepts the data of all the transmitters and then see the data in pc.
so is there any readymade device available which i can directly interface with microcontroller to send the signals wirelessly?
what i should do?

5 km is quite challenging. What environment is it? How much
could you elevate the antennas? What jurisdiction are you living
in (with respect to RF transmission laws)?

1km line of sight? You'll need elevated antennas for this at that.

Best hope is (No. America) 902-928MHz band, gain antennas. Digi makes high power (up to 1W) Xtend and XBee modules for this band, as do others.

There is 868MHz for 802.15.4 but few products. And they are very low power.

1km with 10mW 2.4GHz isn't gonna work due to the laws of physics, in line of sight.

So maybe you need to look at using cellular 1XRTT or GPRS.

Dash7 claims that they can reach upto 10km's, with standard range of 1km. The 433 Mhz band is also free to use all over the world. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DASH7)

However getting dash7 working on avr is yet not done, though the dash7 stack (opentag iirc) could be done on an AVR and the developer would help on an effort, but has not gotten the time to do it himself.

okies there is one more query which i want to ask if i am using piezoelectric accelerometers with TEDS i.e SMART TRANSDUCERS and these TRANSDUCERS are communicating using zigbee protocol with wireless access point then according to the IEEE 1451.5- ZIGBEE STANDARD can we say that ACCELEROMETRS ACT AS WTIM and WAP as NCAP.
AND SINCE THEY COMMUNICATE THROUGH A ZIGBEE 914MHz ISM BAND then the is system compliant to IEEE 145.5-zigbee?
