Any way to create a program for this eval kit using asf? We have to request a package creation?

OK, its been a while, no nibbles. Let me rephrase... is this eval kit still an active part number? Is the at91sam7s still an active part number? If not, I guess thats why the asf guys arent busting their hump to get some support for it?

OK, still been more of a while. I see an AT91SAM7E-EK in the atmel store. Is this the succesor to the AT91SAM7S-EK? Same sam7 processor? Board support package in ASF? (guess I'll go look...)

OK, message posted on July 14 and no response from any Atmel employee to date July 24. Yo Dean or any other Atmel employee: Stupid old AVR 8bit programmer here. I have an AT91SAM7S-EK 1)Is it a current active part number? 2)Is it supported in ASF 3.3? (can't find it) 3)Is this request enough to open an issue and get it added to ASF 3.4?
4)If the answer is no, then will some empowered Atmel employee tell me "The AT91SAM7S is an albatross and you should chuck it"?

After 11 days with no reply, I am bumping my question back to the top in Hopes that Dean will see it and feel sorry for me.

Have you tried Atmel support or a PM?

Nope. Just posting on a very active official corporate sponsored forum. Does any Avrfreak reading this have an AT91SAM7S-EK? Yes? OK, how do you compile a program for it? I assume it must be burned with SAM-BA?

Sorry, didn't see this one. If it's not SAM3 or SAM4 based, it's not ASF compatible at the moment. You'll have to use the older non-ASF software packages:

http://www.atmel.com/tools/AT91SAMSOFTWAREPACKAGE.aspx

No AS6 support, either. Due to limited developer time, only the latest SAM devices are integrated.

Thanks for the reply. I hope eventually it gets added to the ASF and AS6.
