Hi,

I want to generate a signal with a sample-rate of 100khz, since the highest frequency of this signal is about 45khz. Since the UC3A has only the ABDAC as DAC I have to use this peripheral. But I'm unsure about the timing resp. the clock settings. The UC3A is running at 66Mhz (12Mhz ext). According the datasheet I need a generic clock for the ABDAC that is 256 times the sample frequency. This means 256*100khz = 25.6Mhz. But how can I generate this frequency for the ABDAC?

Thanks and best regard, Christoph

Hi Christoph,

a sample rate of 100kHz is ambitious for the ABDAC. See AT32UC3A-series Manual (document 32058K-AVR32-01/12).

Looks to be a challenge for an overclocking freek. Cool
