A relay.
A 12V supply with on/off.
A PNP transistor connected to +12V.

...and going to off topic.

Many people have access to Proteus via educational establishments who have paid for license(s) and they should be able to get paid for support from Labcenter who are still the best people to answer questions about their product.

I would assume (and hope) that this applies to 99% of Proteus questions on this forum.

The arrangement with many 'educational deals' is that the school provides the technical support. This was certainly the case with several software packages when I did my Open University degree.

So it is perfectly valid for these students to ask general questions here. They may get a better response than from their school.

All the same, I do feel uncomfortable with the 1% that may be using cracked software. IT IS THEFT. Exactly the same as mugging an old lady or breaking into a house.

Of course the non-educational license holders can ask wherever they like. A general programming question is fine here. A technical Proteus question is better at labcenter.com

David.

How interesting, that some read the question as "arrr yo ho ho I'm a bloody pirate", while others read it as "can someone help me by telling me the name of a device that generates 12V, so I can look it up in the libraries for my software, because I'm not very experienced and don't know many chip names yet".

I take it that English isn't the OP's first language, otherwise he might have expressed his question better. We'll never know, now you helpful people have insulted him, ripped him a new asshole and sent him on his way.

Seems anybody who asks a question about Proteus gets labeled a pirate.

So I'll join the jolly, swashbuckling crew and ask, "What's Proteus?"

I have no idea, sorry, never used Proteus.

The components I mentioned, if wired correctly, will give you 12V when you give it the correct logic.

Does Proteus have a relay as a component? Does it have a 12V supply symbol? A transistor symbol?

Just wire them up and it will work.
