Slightly off topic for an electronics forum but here it goes:
I have finished the design and testing for a product and would like to put a membrane over the tactile buttons that slightly protrude from the front panel.

Is there material out there that I can print up with a laser printer and glue to the front panel for a finished product look?

Thanks
wade

Xerox never tear paper - quite pricey at Staples, smaller quantities available on ebay.

Overlay printing with adhesive backed polyester film - McMaster-Carr:

If you don't want to expend your financial fortune ... try this. You can upload your own image and dimensions.

Unfortunately, they wanted to charge me US$50 to post a couple of stickers to me here in Australia. I don't expect to get free postage, but s*i*, that was just plain insulting. In other words, they don't want to acknowledge the free trade agreement between the US and Australia.

Cheers,

Ross

You can also get adhesive-backed polyester paper from e.g. Desktop Labels. I just got some samples of their white label material for marking connectors and I'm pretty pleased. It sticks well and is substantially cheaper than the Xerox stuff, although I don't know how it compares in terms of thickness. They have white, colored, and clear labels, so you could print your graphics on an opaque sheet and then laminate it with a clear sheet for protection.

This has been discussed here also. http://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?name ... highlight=
This may be of some help.

They were just worried that they'd be upside down by the time they got to OZ.
