consider figure in attachment.
I have an avr raven which brings nodes, headers and board number one. I also bought an avr dragon to program raven nodes. But it seems that i lack of the board number 2. I need to bue it also but i dont know its name.
Can you help me?

Board #2 with the white flex cable is an Atmel JTAG PROBE, part of the JTAG ICE mk-II.
Can be purchased as a replacement part - ATJTAGPROBE, but is only useful with the JTAG ICE mk-II.
It makes more sense to build your own adapter from the Dragon.

i want to program raven with dragon and this was the only setup i found . this board can be replaced by a bread board right? does anyone knows the pin connects?

It looks to me as if the Raven has a miniature 5x2 JTAG connector with 0.05" spacing.
Your adapter board #1 simply converts from 5x2 0.05" female header to 5x2 0.1" female header.
This would plug directly onto the Dragon 5x2 0.1" male header pins.
The adapter #2 looks superfluous. If the adapter has male 5x2 0.1", then you put a short 10way female-female ribbon in between.
The Dragon manual can be seen via Studio4 Help.
I guess you already have read your Raven manual.

| ebay certainly has loads of 6 to 10 converters for 0.1" pitch. It may well also have adapters for the stupid 0.05" stuff that Atmel has started to use of late. |

Board #1 appears to be one of the Atmel JTAG/ISP standoff kit (ATAVR-SOAKIT) at $39US.
There doesn't seem to be much out there to adapt or breakout from 2x5 0.05" header sockets. This was an issue with the AT90USBKey in which I/O are on pads for a 0.05" header, where one solution was the wizbang wings, made by a fellow freak, however that enterprise seems to have vanished as lamented here. The only adapters/breakouts I could find were part of JTAG debugger kits.
MCPros offers 2x5 0.05" 20CM cable assemblies for their daisy system, but no breakouts or adapters. Same for GHI Electronics gadgeteer stuff.

I really don't see the problem. It appears that you already get a 0.05" female to 0.1" male adapter.
You should be able to connect directly to the Dragon JTAG with a short regular ribbon.
If alexe100 is in Europe, I could post him a ribbon.
I would never connect anything like in the photo. It looks uncomfortable. Something will break.

Yes I am from Europe (PT) and yes I already have the Board Atmel JTAG/ISP standoff kit (ATAVR-SOAKIT) which is included in the RAVEN kit.
Well, I already have this list of parts:
3 RAVEN nodes (one is USB)
1 ATAVR-SOAKIT board (included in RAVEN KIT)
5 male to male headers (included in RAVEN KIT)
1 Dragon
My big doubt is how to connect this to the dragon board because dragon board seems a "flat" board just with little holes no no conventional plugs/headers.
One more important info:
My base skill are not electronics. I bought this kit because I want to develop firmware middleware and software for RAVEN. I never thought that I would need to solder things in order to put this to work

Which country is PT ?
Email me your address and I could post you a 10-way ribbon.
Your Dragon should come with JTAG, ISP and VCC/GND headers populated.
You can read the Dragon Manual via Studio4->Help->AvrTools menu.
Figure 3.12 shows how to connect to JTAG.
The Dragon is an excellent kit. It seems unfortunate that they do not supply a 6-way ISP ribbon and a 10-way JTAG ribbon. This would only add an extra $1.00 to the selling price.
When you connect "JTAG/ISP standoff kit" to the Raven, do you see 5x2 0.1" male header pins?

PM means via AvrFreaks.
Regular correspondence is easier through regular email.
Use PM if you want to keep your email address private.
