I swear to god Cliff, if you overflow the forum's post count data-type and bring down the forums, I will personally hunt you down...

Then this is the first spammer I have ever seen that is actually spamming such that the spam he writes actually belongs to the specific forum and is even most of the times good advice to the OP.

It will be a couple of months with the current average rate, but still a lot faster then any other poster.

It would also be fun to see a moderator with 0 posts or a very low post counter.... Curious as to how the newbies will react to that....

Bah! One of the crashes of AVRfreaks brought two bogus top posters both claimed to have 16777215 posts. Divide that by 50K giving 335. So Cliff will have to post 335 times as much, at least, as he has already before closing in on wrapping the counter.

Cliff made his 50K in about 10 years, so 3350 years still, if I'm correct with my mutiplications and divisions.

Let's all wish Cliff a very good health.

Cliff's health will probably be fine until summer comes and he can't go to the Maldives. Then who knows...

22 posts to go.....

It has to happen today cliff
so...
starting 18 july 2005 til today 10 feb 2012 counts 2398 days (according to excel)
with 50K posts that averages to 20,85 posts per day.
if he has to reach 16777215 posts that, in this rate, would take him 804635 days.
I added that number to 18 july 2005 and excel says that then it is 24 july 4208...
I know cliff has been doing hard work but I have a suspicious feeling that he will not be getting that old. On the other hand, will we or for all that mathers this forum still exist??????
A better calculation would 100K posts... that should happen around 4 september 2018 and thus is a better goal to work towards Smile

Congratulations again in advance Cliff, from both myself (on a personal level) and the entire Atmel Norway Applications group! Everyone here appreciates the job you are doing.

I've spoken to my supervisor and we have a small gift we would like to send you to commemorate your achievement - please PM me with your postal address.

Fun (or not so fun) fact. If you go to Cliffs public profile and click "Find all posts by ..." you will get an empty page. No headers. No nothing but aminimal HTML document.

Either this is another of the 'freaks site things that is broke, or he's been bluffing all along..

I noticed that effect the other day - if you have the search set to all posts it hits ~50,000 and shows no result. If you have it set to all threads it's something like 24,500 results and they are listed. My speculation was that there is some kind of 32768 limit going on there.

Oh and by the way this IS post 50,000 Wink
