for the 10K crowd, in general I'll say yes. The trolls rarely stick around long enough [or are allowed to] in order to reach that goal.
The bulk of the 10K crowd are people that have been here nearly a decade posting, showing a high level of dedication to this forum helping people. I think you'll find that their informational, and helpful posts far outweigh any chaff. And any flame posts are not without provocation. |

| It has been ~3.5 years since Cliff hit 10k posts. That means in the last 3.5 years he has averaged about 1 post per hour, a rather remarkable feat. |

In my defence a lot of the posts are because of:
(a) moderator related posts
(b) often I'll have an almost live "IM like" ping-pong discussion with some poor soul just trying to find their feet. While others sometimes do this I see that most people often just add one or two posts to a thread
(c) I have a big mouth, won't shut up and almost obsessively must always have the "last word"
Re (c) I tend to do the same with work email: though I once met my match in someone else who always tries to have the last word - so if we ever had a dialogue it almost never ended! |
