hi all - i am just getting into AVR and really enjoying it. i just found out you can run linux on one and want to try it out.
my question:
what chip is a good one to start with?

The only AVR32 parts which support Linux are the AP7000 series (none of the UC3 family do) and the best way to get started with those is the NGW100 kit. Good luck
