Is there a hex file available that contains the original factory USB bootloader for the ATmega32U2?

I erased the whole flash using mkII and would like to put the bootloader back so that I can use FLIP to flash with over USB.

Thank you for any help.

There's a reference to the original AT90USB82 bootloader on the product page:

http://atmel.com/dyn/products/product_c ... rt_id=4602

However I can't imagine that has the correct bootloader offsets for the MEGA32U2. Still, perhaps it has builds for all the series 2 USB AVRs inside it - I didn't check.

An alternative would be to build the FLIP-compatible DFU bootloader for the MEGA32U2 in my LUFA stack: http://www.fourwalledcubicle.com/LUFA.php.
