Uff, uff, it's not even 5 weeks ago that Cliff broke through the 10k limit. Since then he already posted as often as I in the last 3 years Shocked Shocked Shocked

Yoiks, just noticed my average has gone up from 12.4 to 12.7 posts per day since 10K Sad

(and this post hasn't helped!)

I don't know how he does it! I'd argue that I'm going for quality over quantity, but Cliff's got both (and I've got neither Wink). Oh well, more time spent coding, I suppose!

Congrats again Cliff!

@ Dean, well those tutorials are high quality.

Not to steal Cliffs thunder, he does have the top 5 FAQ on every post. And we can all contest from browsing the new posts that even though they show up here 10k+ times, it's still not enough!

Cliff, if you're really going to join the WinAVR team and add some good features you might not have so much time for posting, so your rate would decrease. Does that comfort you? Very Happy

I was out searching for something completely different when I most accidentaly stumbled on this thread. (Honestly! Somewhere in this thread the word "avatar" is buried.) I have had a good 15 minutes of giggling, laughing and jaw dropping. I then reached page three of the thread where

the subject wrote:

As it took 807 days to get here I guess it'll be January 2010 for the next 10K.

That was October 3 2007, ie eleven months ago, and since then he has come up with 6334 rambling posts. That means 18.9 posts per day since then and 3666 to go until third stage ignition, and thus the prognosis is 193 days til then. Rougly six monmths and 11 days. Mid march 2009. That rocket was evidently capable of Warp 11.

Go, Cliff, go, to be the first 1M+ MegaFreak!

Too bad the human lifespan is only about 3 gigaseconds -- we won't ever see a 1G+ GigaFreak.

Let me take this opportunity and thank the 'freaks community for these 8.5 years. By and large it's been great fun, I've learned heaps from many knowledgeable people and also had the joy of seeing several AVR beginners grow to expert-hood.

The more humorous stuff that surfaces here from time to time has made me laugh many a time. I'll settle for one special mention only, hoping the rest of you wont get to hurt: While I am somewhat bitter at Chuck beating me at composing limericks, I've enjoyed his musings on The King, The Usch and The Son of Claw extremely much.

Thank you all!

So... Guess I'll have to choose some place where I can take the small step, pass the point of no return and somewhat reluctantly join the motley crew. This seems like a good spot. [taking a deep breath just before hitting Submit...]

As I said in the first thread where I found you'd entered the club - Welcome!

Only to the early (late) risers. The rest of us got the news on 091010 (or 100910, or 101009).

So who wants to bet on when Steve A (Koshchi) will hit the magic mark and be next to join the club?
