I'm a hardware guy and I just can't pull myself away from reading it! Great stuff and well written. I'd say a must read for people who are really trying figure out "best practices". I'm making this required reading for all our new hires. |

Very nice reading indeed...
I think I really should get myself a digital book for my pdf files... This one, Feynman lectures, AVR datasheets etc.
Hard to sit still in front of a PC so long... |

You can't go wrong reading most anything by Walt Jung or Walt Kester. Hmmm, both named Walt. Here's a whole list of links to pdfs of articles by the Walt's.

Another good read is The Circuit Designer's Companion. As Director of Engineering (in a previous life) all new engineers received a copy of this and were expected to read it. I see the second edition is now available. http://www.amazon.com/Circuit-Designers ... amp;sr=8-1

I got a hardcopy of this chapter several months ago for being on their mailing list for one of their online news letters. It is really great. They might still have it available... ask your local ADI rep. |

That pdf is the entire chapter 9 of the book The Data Conversion Handbook.
It's got a "brother" called Op Amp Applications Handbook.
I have both and they are very good. Practically oriented with lots of complete examples, tons of information.
Of course parts selection is biased towards ADI, but I think that's OK. Real working circuits, and the component's specifications can be looked up from data sheets. |
