My sincere apologies to all; I read the Santa thread and agree thoroughly with all the surrogate parents/grandparents.Wink In my warm little cubby in this forum I forgot that freaks.net does resides on the ever expanding world wide web of who knows what's going on. My mistake I will be more careful from now on.

Gwen,
You seem to be commenting about many photos, but I don't see any of you. Albeit most of the comments are polite compliments....

Unless of course you are implying, like Lee, that your avitar is the closest representation we will see of you.

Poor Gwen - getting it from all sides. You missed us old guys playing surrogate parents to Gwen in the "Dear Santa" thread (the parent of this one).

@Jorg: I really enjoyed your picture! Are all those kids yours?? That is great stuff. Is the buggy a rental in Denmark? Looks to customized for a rental. I empathise because I feel guilty if I don't give PeeWee and his mom "right of first refusal" ragarding my free time. Tonight, I am letting her pick him up from school so I could get started routing traces and thought I would glance at this post first!!! Oh the guilt!!!!

This picture was taken in the Adirondack Mountains in New York State late September of this year. That's me on the left with three of my kayaking & hiking friends. The picture was taken at Marcy Damn 2-miles into an 8+ mile hike to Avalanche Lake and back. Note that I'm holding my hat so that it wouldn't blow off. Also note the low cloud cover in the background - that's why I have rain gear wrapped around my waist.

> Are all those kids yours?

Yes, I believe so. :-)

> Is the buggy a rental in Denmark? Looks too customized for a rental.

Yes, it's a rental. The trailer was available at the rental station
as well, the only "customization" is that we fixed the kid's seat
(from a regular bicycle) in the front of the buggy for our youngest
daughter. That way, all five of us could fit. It's been quite a
heavy vehicle, but fortunately, Denmark is rather flat (and for the
really long journeys, we preferred using our own bicycles).

I was a little reluctant to post a photo, but I've found one with a nice background so here it is. If you want a bigger version, click the picture.

This one is from about 7 years ago, back when my knees had all the bits that knees are meant to have, and I used to work in the mountains during the winter. Imagine having to deal with views like that every day at work Smile

A beautiful spot--the high peaks region is my fav. Couldn't make my annual pilgrimage this Thanksgiving, so I'll thank you for the pic instead...

Ok Daqq, that is quite enough.

I willingly put my picture up with the understanding that everyone would only be thinking I'm a dork. But posting an audio of myself would move my dorkness from that of suspecion to confirmation.

But, I guess everybody has already figured out that I am quite the dork. Laughing

Not simple 2 m antenna, but detachable one!

Since we're going for dorkyness, I can be seen in my avitar. "Where's the dork in that?" you might ask. Right between the Farmall M fenders!

Here's the original photo, I left it full sized so you can zoom in on the dash of the truck that the photo was snapped from.

microcarl: Uhm...you do realize that was a joke, right? Maybe a not too good one, but it wasn't meant seriously...

Daqq,

Yes, I knew it was a joke. I thought I put a smiley face at the end. Yep! I just checked and, I did.

Jorg got me good though. I guess I'll never live down the fact that I publicly broadcast a picture with one of my tenticles sticking out of my head.

I'll just have to do some more work on my human disguise. Just don't ask what planet I actually came form. Wink
