HCC-Embedded full support for 32-bit AVR

general Posted by davehcc on Thursday, February 18, 2010

HCC-Embedded today announced the release of a complete range of embedded firmware for the Atmel AVR32 series of microcontrollers.

HCC has ported all of its relevant embedded products to the AVR32 line. The embedded USB host, device and OTG stack, as well as its FAT, SafeFAT and SafeFLASH file systems, and its SafeFTL flash translation layer. Working projects, built with standard tool-chains, are available for standard AVR32 development boards.

Special features of the 32-bit AVR include high speed USB (host and device), 4-bit SD controller and high performance NAND and ECC controller with support for 4-bit error correction.

HCC’s embedded products are designed for operation with or without an RTOS. They can be supplied in a fully integrated state, with many RTOSes, TCP/IP stacks and other embedded components.

In addition to the USB stack and the file systems, HCC offers a set of high performance drivers for the SDIO interface and the NAND flash controller of the SAM3U. SafeFTL, HCC’s failsafe flash translation layer, operates efficiently and reliably with up to four terabytes of NAND storage connected to the AVR32.

All variants of 32-bit AVRs are supported.
