AVR236: CRC check of Program Memory
Updated: Feb 24, 2005
Description
Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) can be used to detect errors in program memory of microcontrollers. This application note describes CRC theory and gives an example for a code and register optimized implementation of CRC. This application requires no external RAM and supports all AVR microcontrollers with LPM instruction.
