Summary

System on a chip. This device has it all. Some people chose it just for it's 4kB internal SRAM. An improved version is available, the ATmega128. This is a drop in replacement, and customers who already converted reported zero problems with the upgrade. This device was also available in a 3V version, ATmega103L.

Comments

The ATmega103 is no longer being produced, but Atmel still have some parts left in inventory. As they are willing to give them away to the highest bidder, you might be able to broker a very good deal on parts of the remaining inventory.
