Summary

This little 8-pin package hides a lot of memory, and it can run off either an internal 1MHz RC oscillator, or an external clock. Perfect as a co-processor. With a software UART, SPI or TWI interface, you can get the perfect secure EEPROM for a fraction of the cost of a specialized device. Also available in a 5V version, AT90S2343.

If you wish to run this part from a crystal oscillator, you should check out the AT90LS2323. This part also used to be available with the part name ATtiny22L. The ATtiny22L name has been obsoleted, but the product remains the same.
