AT90S8535
Availability: Obsolete
Summary
One of the most popular AVR devices, but a bit old. Lacks features of modern AVRs, including self programming memory, Multiply instructions, JTAG debug interface and more.
For new designs, you get more for your dollars if you choose ATmega8535, ATmega16 or the ATmega32. They are all drop in replacements.
If you try to reduce the board size of your new project, you could also try to squeese your design into the 32-pin ATmega8.
This device is also available in a 3V version, AT90LS8535.
