I have messed up the firmware on a 3D printer board and I'm trying to burn the AVR using the ISP header (usually being done serially but does not work now).

I start a new project in Studio 7 and open the Arduino file but get an empty board list and an empty device list. Without these I can not continue of course.

Any suggestions?

You need to browse to your arduino installation so that we can populate the board and device list from it... If it is empty after that, then your arduino installation is too old for studio to understand its structure.

(yes, I work for Atmel, yes, I do this in my spare time, now stop sending PMs)

Thanks. OK so I have installed a newer version of the Arduino IDE and now everything seems to be running OK. After the project is created I can't compile it since I get errors that all kind of header files from the Arduino project are not found. What is the "common" way to solve this?
