Hello

I installed ATMEL studio V7 and I try a basic code sample. When I started to debug the code, the environment proposes to upgrade the EDBG firmware from 2.09 to 2.10. After the upgrade, I restarted the board but the EDBG usb interface is not visible in usb enumeration. Serial profile is visible and leds on the board is on.

The EDBG chip is bricked?

Thanks for you help.

It's fixed (I hope so). I uninstalled edbg device driver and restart the virtual machine. I see the cmsis-dap again. the sample code runs on the board.

It's not fixed. when i disconnect and reconnect the board. it's the same behavior.

The device cannot be seen with the tool "atfw -l". If I restart windows and connect again The board, it's listed in "atfw -l". I have the same problem with "samd20 xplained" board.

I will reinstall Atmel Sutdio 7.

I'm on Windows 7 professional with VMware Fusion 8.1.0. When I shutdown the Windows Machine, It's freeze since I install Atmel Studio 7. I had any problem with the previous version (Atmel studio 6) with this configuration.

I just did the same thing and noticed that v3.0c is now available - have you tried in the last day or so?

EDIT:

Although it's not directly related to your problem, Section 2.4.4 in the following document also helped when my new board was not recognised by Studio 7 but was recognised by Windows...  My drivers were in C:\Program Files (x86)\Atmel\Studio\Drivers\Jungo\usb64 though, not the directory shown in that document.
