Hey all, I have a quick question about the AVR interrupt.

0x0005

;

.org 0x3C02

What doe sthe .org 0x3C02 mean?

I was reading the data sheet and ran into this problem, so i just want to understand what this means.

Thank You for your Reply!!

cf. http://www.atmel.com/webdoc/avra...

EDIT: That web page could use some debugging. Try http://www.atmel.com/webdoc/avra... and search for ORG. Once you get there, do not refresh. frown

OK, I'll bite -- which AVR8 datasheet has ".org 0x3C02" in it?

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.

I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.

Lee I simply googled ".org 0x3C02" and virtually the top hit took me back to:

(which was surprising).

Clearly it's Atmel explaining about IVSEL and interrupts in bootloaders but why their example hard-codes a literal 0x3C02 rather than ".org INTO_addr + BLS_base_address" (or whatever it is) remains a complete mystery. A bad example for a datasheet !!

Reported to the datasheet people (TPUBSMEGA-305).

(yes, I work for Atmel, yes, I do this in my spare time, now stop sending PMs)
