Power Debugger is a powerful development tool for debugging and programming AVR microcontrollers using
UPDI, JTAG, PDI, debugWIRE, aWire, TPI or SPI target interfaces

and ARM® Cortex®-M based SAM microcontrollers using JTAG or SWD target interfaces.

This tool is new to me and I'm split over being impressed it supports all those protocols or ridicule it because it has to support so many different different protocols to do the same.

I hope it is a little more robust than the Dragon.

But I won't use it.

Too much effort involved to get a toolchain working on Linux (Ask Johan, I commend his efforts).

For AVR's I'm quite content with USBasp and a cheap LA from Ali for the debugging.

For ARM I use a USD 2 ST-Link V2 clone of which I have confirmed I can program with SWD and connect gdb to the target processor.
