Fellow Freakers,

I have a small project here that currently has simple mechanical pushbuttons for function inputs, which stick out and are not only awkward, they look awful.

I was thinking about a stick-on membrane switchpanel with maybe some translucent windows for the LED status indicators to sit behind so I have a nice clean finish.

I am looking online and plan on calling a couple of places I have found, but I thought I would see if anyone here has experience with a vendor they could recommend, or tell me to avoid.

I only need one, but I can purchase five if need be.

Cheers,

Jim

Jim,

I had a vague memory of one of the Chinese pcb companies also doing them. First thought was pcbway, but no it isn't them. Old age memory leak!

Gotta go out for a few hours... will think about it.

Like these?:

... but with windows for indicators, and possibly custom in some way?

If something more generic will suffice:

For some "one off" project prototypes, I have printed to transparent labels and cut to fit over keypad switches like:

Maybe the Chinese pcb company you mention is ALLPCB, but they have cancelled the membrane switch service.
