Hallo All

Tried to made breeding of Manihot Escuelenta/utillisima in tropical land need humudity soil sensor to get better result.

Are there cheap homemade or sale one with AVR ?

It is cheap, but not perfect. They have been made by many hobbyists.

Humidity is the moisture level in the atmosphere - not the soil.

 

Do you really mean a soil moisture sensor?

I tried in the past,unfortunedly only once and then became rusty.Meanwhile planned at lot of wasted land.

You didn't answer the question: do you want to measure humidity or soil moisture ?

Soil moisture already made with PCB in the past but became rusty.Seems that could made again.

Yes,humidity sensor that I'm looking for....did you had info for cheap one.

Well that's just bad design - using the wrong materials!

And perhaps had a DC bias on the plates.

 

They will likely last a lot long with an AC drive signal and no DC bias.

Probably the water entering pcb via unshielded well with plastic tape.

Planning with that sensors for unused land also at pot.
