I have a project using atmega128 and ds18s20 as temperature sensor. My problem is, I'm still new in ADC and I really don't know where to start. I use codevision and my atmega128's clock is 14.7456MHz. I already viewed the source code from "dallas one-wire interface" project, but I can't understand. Can someone give a very simple and basic code to read temperature from ds18s20? thank you..

Have you looked at the CV example folder for the ds1820 and ds18b20 projects? Maybe close to what you need??

Or switch sensor to LM35 that outputs analog voltage, suitable for reading with a/d?

Folks,

If my edit of the thread title here has resurrected this thread to the top of the forum then please ignore it. A bug in the new forum meant that a new "Hi Everyone" post actually links to this very old (2009) post of the same new. I didn't realise this at first so I did the usual thing and added some sensible words to the title but I now realise this is an old thread that should be dead and buried - so do not respond. This is from 2009 and OP is NOT interested!

Cliff, Cliff, Cliff... you have just altered the evidence of the Split problems that I had provided for Michael. I hope they can make sense out of this confusion now....

This does not appear to be a split issue.

The new site, instead of numerically indexing topics and projects for retrieval, appears to give them a url composed from the topic/project title.

Before Cliff's reply this topic was encountered by clicking on this topic

Note that there are zero views of the topic because of being redirected to this old topic with the same title.

This seems quite ominous…

I've been able to increment the number of views for the noted topic by entering the profile for ΣςLϓPΖΣ, clicking on View Posts, finally on the topics under Discussion Topics or Comment/Replies.

On my comment about indexing, that topics seem to be given a url from the title, replies within still use numerical indexing.
