Formatting text

Formatting text in the forums is possible by using the following html tags: b, i, u, font, br, ul, li, img, a (href) including anchors (#). This, of course, requires some HTML skill.
NB! Tables are not possible.

Examples
bold = bold
italics = italics
underlined = underlined
red helvetica = red helvetica
etc...

Indenting source code, for instance; is possible (in multiple levels also)
using the

tag.
Unfortunately (as you can see), this produces a lot of room. But this is the way to do it.

Example:

Indent 0

indent 1

indent 2

indent 0

produces the following output:

Indent 0
indent 1
indent 2
indent 0

Combine this with fonts to make your code stick out:

while(this_or_that)do_something(please);return(0);

The -tag unfortunately is not usable with phorum software, either, but we'll look into making it work anyway!
We know this is cumbersome, but this is the way it works for now.
Remember; you dont HAVE to write HTML yourself. Tip: html editors are available for free all over the web.

Images and files

Many of you will perhaps be interested in sharing files with other AVRfreaks forum readers.
We may decide to make a section of its own, though restricted, for this kind of activity. Meanwhile, you can give others access to your personal designs, source, schematics or whatever by just including a hyperlink in your forum posting. You need to get some web hosting for your files elsewhere.

Example:
We registered for free at a norwegian provider, uploaded a file, and now we make it available to you like this:

Download sample.txt

producing

Download sample.txt

Images are included in regular HTML manner.

Example:

*** Eivind, webmaster ***
