That depends on the things you need. For example: How many layers? What kind of "finish"? Color? Dimension of your PCB? Shape? Minimum distance between traces? Quality of the PCB? And so on...

You could upload your boards data to a few manufacturers and check out there prices instantly. Keep in mind that you may adjust some things in your design according to the guideline of the manufacturer. I use to order here: http://smart-prototyping.com/ and here: www.platinensammler.de (the last one is only interesting when you're located in Germany [I guess not wink] and it's currently on hold anyway).

Check PCBway. They can use your Gerber files directly.

Does EZpcb still require that one use their software to get the pricing? Last time I was going to use them I was told to re lay out my boards in their software or pay a premium to use Gerbers.

Is there a cost for regenerating the file? Do you take responsibility if after the regeneration errors are introduced? Will you require the customer to review the file somehow?

Not sure what you are implying regarding sponsorship, but yes I have mentioned pcbway numerous times, but I am in no way sponsored by them.

I have used many pcb houses in the past, both here in the USA and overseas, and I keep notes on experiences both good and bad about them all so when a vendor makes a post here I look to see what my experience was - if any.

If it is of any interest, I was going to ban pcbway from this site at one point and sent their CEO an email informing them as such for spamming. They replied to me apologizing for it and the matter was closed.

I play no favorites.

OSH Park's boards are made in the U.S.  They cost $5 per square inch for 3 identical boards.  They seem to be of good quality.  It takes around 10 days to get them back.

OSH Park is a panelizer/depanelizer.  They don't make the boards.  When you upload your gerbers, they show you what the boards will look like.  If they are okay, and mine have always been, they add your boards to a big board.  When the big board is full, they have it made.  When they get it back, they cut out your boards and mail them to you.

The boards are purple with gold plated traces.  That seems like royal colors to me.  I assume they are the official PCB supplier to Queen Elizabeth.

Jim, I was introduced to PCBWay recently, have you ever had them make a stencil for you? They can make a framed 23" stencil for $75, seems too good to be true?! Up until now the best price I've ever gotten for a 23" stencil is £170 ($222.33 with the current exchange rate).

PS sorry to go slightly off-topic.

I have not had them do a stencil for me yet, but if I get this project I have been toying with I will need them to. Their prices in my opinion have been more than reasonable.

Sorry I cannot be of more assistance
