I am trying to create a system that will "baud match" an odd peripheral. It talks at approx 140K baud and I need to interface it with an ordinary RS-232 connection on a PC (Nearest baud rate would be 115,200). I was thinking of using a MPU like the 8515 to act as a go between, talking at 140K on one side and 115K on the other side. Alas I am merely a software developer and not an engineer. I need some guidance in putting this together. Anything you could throw my way would be greatly appreciated.

hi

the problem whit this is the quantity of data you must

avoid buffer overfill

the 30k diference musb be stoked some where in ram ...

im sujest to use FTDI FT232am usb uart chip

it create a virtual comm serial port on the pc whit verry

hight speed this permit a 140k to 256k translation

end avoid avr buffer over fill whit simple singel chip

solution (pc driver is suplied by FTDI)

just final note at this speed is mandatory to use control line

to avoid data lose
