Hi,

I'm newbie with Atmel. I would like to know what programmer/debbuger I should use to programm the ATMEGA64M1 ("SPI programming" pins) . I think I will take the ATMEL ICE ? Is it a good solution to begin ? I will also do a PCB with the ATMEGA64M1. What connector should I use to connect the ATMEGA64M1 on my PCB to the ATMEL ICE. I have seen that there was a cable with a female 6 pins header. A good solution would be to take a male 6 pins header, isn't it ?

Thank you very much !

Atmel-ICE is the only real choice these days.

The Atmel-ICE manual is here:

http://www.atmel.com/webdoc/atme...

That will tell you about things like pin headers....

Do you know where can I find the dimension of the 6 pins cable in order to find a suitable connector on my PCB ?

There used to be a sticky thread at the top of the General Electronics forum with that info - not sure if it is still there?
