I'm just getting into this hobby, and need help. I recieved some software called Fbprg16.exe. In here there was a diagram that I built to programm avr's with. I first load my hex file to my flash buffer , then try to program. But when it varifies the flash I keep getting a "Flash Low Byte Error in Address 0000" . I have gone over my programmer several times an can't find anything wrong. I'm trying to find a stk500, so I have a more quality programmer, annd more options with the 3.22 software. Does anyone have any thoughts , or ideas?

Hi Kevin,

I usually use BA1F, and sometimes I got the error you say but, it is not a programmer's problem, it always is a wiring problem, so I got the error when a wire breakes :-( or I badly insert an MCU's pin in the ZIF socket I use :-§
At any rate use only MCUs specified in the SETUP screen.

Fix the wires and have fun
