Hi,

is there a way to connect old fluke 97 scopemeter via rs232 port with pc running XP or later?
I heard flukeview software doesn't support (of course) this old device. Last software version were on floppys.

So, does anyone knows a way to read data from this fluke and log it with PC. Don't need screen shots, just to log multimeter data.

Optical rs232 cable for it can be easily made in DIY.

Thanks!

I have a model 97 too. If you go into Special Functions, and select 'Print Format', you can set the thing up to log readings at various intervals. I use it that way all the time.

Under 'Printer Setup', just select 1200 or 9600 baud, 8,N,1. Data is in ASCII format when using it this way, but its easy to parse.

I have a manual for the PM9080/001 interface. It includes the command reference for the Fluke 97 with usage examples for all commands written in generic basic. All commands and returned data are standard ASCII. Here is a link to a command reference for all(?) fluke scopemeters.

If that leaves any unanswered questions, I will get the manual scanned this week and post it.

Great, but this is for 190 family. Much younger than 97.

It would be great to have command reference for 97 with usage examples. Can you please scan&post?

I don't need scopemeter manual!
Also can be found PM9080 manual for 190 series and 123.
But I need PM9080 for 97.
