the avrfreaks web site under page for tiny 28 says Equinox's epsilon5 programmer supports tiny 28
I don't think this is true - the epsilon can so ISP only and the 28 is parallel only.

Has anyone found a reasonable cost way to program 28's?
I think the only way today is STK100 or STK500

The avrfreaks forum and data pages are great!

Hi,

I think you're right. I've never used the Equinox Epsilon5, but it only says ISP. I think the STK500 is by far the best buy of the two programmers you've listed, but someone may know of a less expensive parallel programmer if your intention is only to program the ATtiny28.
