Hello,

I want to extend the programming capabilities of the AVR910 Appnote. Does anybody know the devicecodes for AT90s8535 and ATmega163 to programm these devices with the shown programmer/software and the Atmel Studio 3.2 ?

Thank you,
best regards

tmo

Hi,

The latest AVR910 software supports these parts already! You can download it from this site. Please note that AVR Studio launches the AVR prog software to run this programmer.

Hi Morton,

I've downloaded the AVR910 Note from this page. It is the Version 1.5 and supports only baseline- controllers. The note delivered with the Studio 3.2 is version 2.0 an additional supports Atmega103 but not 8535 or mega163. Where can i find the note with mega163 and 8535 ??

Thanks
tmo

Sorry!

The files on this site were apparently not updated. I've sent you the necessary files, and I'll send them to the webmastere here as well.

Hi,

thanks for the files, but i have a problem the Programmer with this software is not recognized from AVRprog. Problem with the baudrate ??. I take 38400 with a 11.059 crystal in an old MCU00100 Board with changed reset for the AVR1200.

Hi Morton,

i solved the problem with the AVR910 Appnote. The timerreload-calculation for the baudrate is wrong. The following is working fine:

N = 72 ;19200 BAUD when R=2 and XTAL=11.059MHz
N = 26 ; 19200 BAUD when R=2 and XTAL=4MHz

There are also two corrections for the calculatetd values in the sourcecode:
1 bit length (256-N+8) has to change to (256-N)
1.5 bit length (256-(n+N/2)+8+12) has to change to (256-(N+N/2)

That's it and it works with AVRprog.exe
