I want to build an UART interface with selectable baud rates from 1200 until 38400 baud. Unfortunately it need software UART on the lower speed. Has anybody solved a combined hardware (38400 baud) and software (1200 baud) UART routine for full duplex ?
I want to use the 2313 at 7.3728MHz.

Hy Peter,

Use BASCOM-AVR, (www.mcs.com) it's DEMO provides just 2K program memory, software and hardware UART.
The only thing I noted, it can't open a PORTx.PIN for INPUT and, even closed, OUTPUT in the same program in software UART.

I'm interested in learning how to setup the uart in these, and looked at the link (www.mcs.com) and did not find anything. If it is you could email it to me that would be great,Thanks ewilliams@ikonuny.com

Oops!

Sorry, www.mcselec.com is the right side.
They own BASCOM-AVR.
No setup is needed (not normal assembler-like, I mean).
