I find it curious that a nice device like the STK500 with more than one processor, and using pwm to adjust target voltage ref, crystal freq etc, and keeping in mind that this is sold to encourage US to use AVR and you can always learn something new from a nice design, anyway, there is no schematic, what is THE BIG DEAL? snippets of how this and that works but no schematics. I read the user's manual which does NOT contain a schamtic, and thought that the real device when purchased would include schematics, WRONG, a small copy of the same users' manual and nothing else in the way of docs. Any comments, is everyone happy with no schematics?

Well I think you must remember that this is a fairly new kit, and that the design is fairly complex. I don't think it's good for their business if they just publish the schematics, certainly not if other companies are looking to produce more testkits for this increasingly popular platform. Why need schematics anyway? So you'll know how to hook up things?

Hi!

The STK500 schematics have now been released, and will probably soon appear on these pages. Knowing the speed with which the AVR Freaks pages are updated, it shouldn't take long :)

I'm dying to find out where to find them. Did a search on the Atmel website which came up with nothing.

Ahh... But the Atmel website is sooo slow on the update. I think the first place will be right here :)

Hi!

I'm pleased to say that avrfreaks.net as the fist site now have the COMPLETE STK500 schematics available for download (for our registered users!) :-)
Oh.. btw: registering is free..

The link to the STK500 schematics contains a whitespace. This is not a valid character in a url (as far as I know).

Why not simply change the link to:
http://www.avrfreaks.com/Tools/T...
and change the link accordingly.
