Hi guys!

I'm looking for a course for assembling the Atmel AVR µC. Have you got an idea where to find this. Or do you have good program samples to easier get started with assembling the AVR ?

I will be very happy to get hints about this topic!

email to: david.gojakovic@telekabel.co.at

Thanx, David Gojakovich

Hi!

The application notes often provide good code, but they may be a little hard on a newbie :) The easiest thing is to start playing with the LEDs and buttons of a starter kit. Do you have a starter kit?

I'm sending you a document by mail which gets you started on the timer/counters and LEDs and suchlike. I'll try to make it available on the Net for other newbies. Please respond on this forum so we can get a discussion going for the benefit of all

There is a good book out there from Elektor. It's available in Dutch and German, but I don't know of any other languages.

You get to build simple things like a serial-to-analog converter and a magnetic card reader. It does explain a good deal of the insides of the hardware, but most seems to be directly copied from the data sheets.

Another thing you can do is look at the example code on www.avr-forum.com. I know it's not a real forum but there's a great deal of buttons-and-leds sourcecode there, which may help you figure out a few things.

It may look hard at the beginning, but once your first "knight rider led sequence" is working, you'll be hooked forever!

But, first of all, are you able to program any of other languages?
