SFP WDM 1.25Gbps 20km LC Optical

WELL, WELL, WELL

These are not AVR PROJECTS
They have blatantly abuse the Project Forum policies by submitting their products.

Not a very bright company, leaving their information totally expose sfp-xfp.com

So, I cannot wait till we get the new BBS that will cut out these nasty pests & have better control of screening

Gack!!

I was excited to see all of the new items in my RSS. This made me even more irritated to find out it was spam.

As for it being not so bright, these folks mainly are concerned with ranking in the search engines. Links from high ranking sites, such as this site, that post links to theirs increase their page rank.

It's such a problem that Google (and others?) came up w/ the 'nofollow' attribute to the tag.

If you want to irritate the spammers, change the links to something like SFP so that the keywords on the page point to some other site.

Or if you have the time, contact the email in the project and pose many 'serious questions' about their products then tell them that you have no intention on buying from a spammer.

Best of luck either way.

Ken, I pm'd OP with a request to stop doing this. But whether or not helps .....

Good thing: in the new forum there will a moderator in the project section. That will teach him a lesson or three

Nard, thanks for your response.
Knowing them, I be surprise if they will remove it.

Time must be near near near for the release of the new forum.

We are still hanging in there.

Yes, it looks like they are using bots to post nowadays :S
It's getting worse, isn't it? It's time to let the godfather of the flying spaghetti monster do his thing ....

Until then, only the Almighty (Eivind and Kim Joar) can delete entries in the projectforum.
