I’m looking for some guidance on how to connect my Atmel ICE adapter to a Silicon Labs C8051F130 8 bit Microcontroller.
With what intent - it's not going to work as a programmer or debugger for it?
Sure you can wire it up but it won't actually be of any use - it doesn't even power the circuit!
I was using a Silabs IDE and my pc crashed. Now I’m using a laptop with Sudio 7 with an Ice adapter. I need the Pinout assignment from the adapter connector to the micro. Can you help me out?
I fear you don't get it. The Atmel ICE is a programmer/debugger developed by Atmel for use with Atmel chips (AVR, AVR32, SAM) why on earth do you think they would have designed it so it would talk to "Silabs" or any other device?? They aren't going to help you develop for a competitors product are they? If you need to program/debug a silicon labs CPU then surely they make interfaces for use with their own chips?
EDIT: A quick google suggests you use a device they sell called "Toolstick":
(but I don't know why I am even telling you that on a message board paid for by Microchip/Atmel)
I understand now. Thanks for your help!
