Sometimes programmer need to check lock bit status.

For example need to check, protection is done or not.

To do this need to read lock bits.

But unfortunately there is no read lock bit command (XMEGA AU [MANUAL] 33.11.3 NVM Fuse and Lock Bit Commands)

Have anybody idea how I read XMEGA’s lock bit?

Thanks for any advise.

Using an Atmel PDI programmer and Studio will allow you read the various lock bits, and other "Fuses", etc.

AVR1316 has example code to do this.
