Hello Atmel/Microchip!

Here's one thing you've missed when closing down www.atmel.com and redirecting to www.microochip.com:

In Atmel Start, specifically in Users Guides to example projects, there are links to product pages. Those links are now broken.

Example:

  1. Point your browser to start.atmel.com .
  2. Click Browse Examples.
  3. In the SEARCH textbox, enter "OLED1".
  4. For the entry "OLED1 Xplained PRO tiny817", click the User Guide button.
  5. In the popup window, there are links "Tiny817-XplainedPRO" and "OLED1-XplainedPRO" that should (I assume) lead to the product pages (now on www.microchip.com) for those boards, but those links are still pointing to the old product pages at www.atmel.com, and there seems to be no redirect from there to the new product pages.

No guarantees, but if we don't report problems they won't get much of  a chance to be fixed! Details/discussions at link given just above.

No hurry for my sake ;-) (I know my way around enough to find the product pages). I just thought I'd try to get it through to the ASF/Start folks.

Atmel Studio also has such links - are they also affected?

They come from the same place as far as I know...

Seems that they in fact don't use the 'same place', so I've thrown a bug at the Start team.

... and now, coffee!

I had some "fun friday" and updated all the links in the windows that pop up in Atmel Studio (and MPLAB-X) when a kit is connected.
You can update it by connecting a kit and pressing the "Update board database" link in the lower left corner of the window.

Let me know if you find any errors, there were a lot of links to replace ...
