Does AT90CAN128 can be used with ASF 3.36.0.984. I can't find any documentation about this. When I added clock ASF module it returns me a lot of errors.

I have never used Atmel and AVR studio before. I'm sorry if this is a basic question.

What have you done?  Do you have experience with other micro's?  CANbus projects?

CAN bus is not a beginner project, most start with led blink, it is simple but will teach you most of what you need to get started using the tools, programmer h/w, debug h/w and such.

I would start with an Arduino UNO, so easy to use, lots of examples including CANbus, lots of interface shields, etc.

Hi Jim,

I have sufficient experience with microcontrollers, but with Renesas and IAR and no problem with CANbus.

The company where I work uses Bascom AVR, but now they need to migrate to C. I have to "translate" a project from Bascom to C, but using AVR. I'd like to use ASF instead of create driver functions from scratch.

Sorry, I have never used ASF for simple 8 bit AVR's.  You may want to check out the can bus project in the project section for driver ideas.  https://community.atmel.com/proj...

Any of the other modules, timers, usart, SPI, TWI are pretty simple to use, ask here if you need help.

You may also find others with experience converting BASCOM to C here as well.

No; it's some SAM and AVR32 UC3C.
